Mixing with Ease & Power using KitchenAid - KitchenAid KHM5TB Classic Plus Hand Mixer

This KitchenAid Ultra Power Plus Hand Mixer (Model # KHM5TB) has seen a lot of use in the 5-plus years that I have owned it. Having used a variety of hand mixers during the years, this one rates as my all-time favorite. Let me tell you why.

Description

A white mixer with classic lines, it measures 7 1/2″ long x 6″ high x 3 1/2″ wide. The front end of the mixer is rounded, presenting a modern appearance. There are two non-clogging vents at the front of the mixer and two on the back of the mixer. A heel rest allows upright positioning of the machine. Attached to the polarized plug is a round power cord that is permanently affixed to the hand mixer. The cord measures 66″ long.

It’s the best! - KitchenAid KHM3 Classic Hand Mixer

My old hand mixer died on Christmas Eve, 1997, when I tried to blend nuts into cream cheese fudge. The little motor whined, smoked, sputtered, and stopped right in the middle of the candy.

The day after Christmas, my husband purchased the Kitchen Aid 3 Speed Classic. What a difference! It’s motor is very quiet compared to other mixers and I can power it though any cake or cookie dough, bread, or candy. It does not bog down in the stickiest of situations.

Mix it up - KitchenAid 300 Watts KSM90 Ultra Power Series Stand Mixer

I love to have home baked things for my children. The only thing that was stopping me was the time and all that mixing, what a pain and mess. My husband bought me my Kitchen aid mixer 5 years ago for Christmas. What a delight it has been. You put everything in the bowl, set you speed, walk away to get your next ingredient while your Kitchen Aid does all the stirring. What a time saver. With Kitchen aid you know the quality is there. Its so powerful, has many speeds and I believe it will last a life time. Everyone who cooks and bakes, needs a Kitchen Aid mixer. No kitchen is complete without one.

Mixes well, comes in a great variety of colors. Long life. - KitchenAid 325 Watts Artisan KSM150PS Stand Mixer

Okay, let me start off by saying I rarely use this thing, I bought it as a gift to my wife because she always wanted one.

So for starters, if your significant other likes to cook, this is THE gift.

Also, my relatives own a small restaurant and I first noticed they had one of these in their kitchen as well. I know its been in operation for at least 15 plus years, and I’m sure it gets a heck of a lot more use than the one in my kitchen. So, when at first I balked at the almost 300 dollar price…I thought about it for a while and decided this will probably last a lifetime.

Very Impressed! - KitchenAid 325 Watts Artisan KSM150PS Stand Mixer

In researching which Kitchen Aid mixer to buy, I checked the American and Canadian websites, and epinions. I found people’s opinions so helpful to me in my research that I now want to help someone else the same way! So here it is:

In reading reviews about the various mixer models I found that there seemed to be a big gap between the home model (the Ultra Power) and the taller, more powerful Heavy Duty and Professional models. At that time the Artisan had only been out in the US for a month or so, so there weren’t any reviews on it yet.

Not A Mixer For Commerical Kitchens - Farberware 350 Watts FSM126E Stand Mixer

I got this mixer from my Mom after she bought it and she didn’t like it. Mom is a serious baker and this one just didn’t work out for her, but works for me just fine. I don’t bake much so this mixer does the job.

This mixer even though it says it can handle bread dough my mom said she found it had a hard time with the dough itself. I have found that it will mix cake dough, cookie dough, pancake mix, whip cream, salad dressings, scrambled eggs and the basics just fine. It is very stable and won’t sake and fall off the counter easily, The base is wide enough to hold it still while it is mixing. It comes with 1-1/2-quart and 4-quart stainless steel bowls, its 4-quart stainless-steel bowl and dough hooks, a 350-watt motor, 16-speed controls, chrome beaters, a very easy easy-release beater ejector, mixer-head release button, start/pause button, and an automatic cord rewind, which is great.

This mixer is easy to clean, just wipe with a warm rag and your done. I have had absolutely no trouble with this unit and I think it’s an excellent value for the price. I like the handy booklet that tells which speed is recommended for each type of mixing job, all though I forget where I put it most of the time.

Christmas Joy! - KitchenAid 250 Watts K45SS Classic Stand Mixer

This year I was dreading the annual Christmas cookie bake, but decided to plug away anyway. Dutifully, I got out the ingredients, steeled myself, and started up the new Kitchen Aid mixer. To my surprise, the mixer made such a difference!

The flat mixer head was so easy to clean between recipes and the dough mixed up like magic!

I was used to using my old unnamed brand mixer or mixing by hand, but the Kitchen Aid took minutes to do what took such a long time to do before. In a matter of a few hours I had made seven different recipes of cookies and even had the time and energy for creating the Buckeyes the family loves so well.
