I purchased the Kitchen Aid Classic for myself for Christmas last year,and I am glad I did.I have gone through several hand mixers and a stand up mixer making icing for decorated cakes for family and friends.This is by far the best mixer I have ever owned.I would recommend that if you use it, you also purchase the splash guard because if you are not accustomed to so much power,you will have food on the walls and ceilings until you get the hang of it.It also makes great candy,if you like to bake, you must have this mixer.It also looks impressive in my kitchen and it makes me look like I am a great cook.If you enjoy cooking and baking on any level,save yourself time and money and get this mixer first.
