I have no idea why I waited so long to get my kitchenaid mixer. I am an avid cook and baker and just received my mixer as an anniversary gift a year and a half ago. I don’t know how I lived without it. I have used it for breads, cookies, to grind meat, to slice and grate veggies and basically anything else I can think of. It is not a stretch to say I use this appliance everyday, I even mash potatoes with it! Like many modern women I collect small appliances from the necessary to the inane, I own it. This mixer and my coffee maker are the only two that I don’t corral away when not in use. Mostly because they are always in use. The cost at first seemed prohibitively expensive but it is definitely worth every penny. My only complaint is the pouring shield melted in the dishwasher and never fit very well to begin with. My advice is: if you like to cook or bake, buy one of these today.
