Positive Good power, handles well. Good customer service.
Cons: Durability is poor. Beaters don’t hold in securely; sometimes fall out.

I bought this mixer a little more than a year ago and the other day it went ka-pooey on me. Fortunately, it was still under warranty, so I called the Cuisinart Customer Service department. Although I didn’t have a receipt for the item, they were still willing to take the item back and send me a new one (I do have to send them a check for $7 to pay for shipping, and I also have to pay to ship the old one to them).

As far as the mixer itself goes, I liked it. The start-up power is very strong though, and it does splatter some, depending on what you’re mixing. It will mix up a batch of heavy chocolate chip cookie dough with little trouble and it is easy to handle.

I hope the replacement mixer will last longer. I like the other Cuisinart products that we own, but so far have not been impressed with the durability of their mixers.
