Cons: Unfortunately, this mixer does not seem to have the durability or reliability I anticipated.

I purchased this mixer thinking I was buying something that would last for years. Now, about a year later, the motor has broken; all I get is a clicking noise and one of the beaters refuses to turn, and then falls out. This, in the middle of making Christmas cookies! I was not making bread, or something that would have unduly stressed the mixer, so it does seem that it should not have broken quite so soon.

When it worked, it was marvelous, but I am disappointed in the durability. This is an appliance that should make it through several years. The Cuisinart brand, and reviews I read here online, were a large influence in my decision to originally purchase this item.
