I have just added this to my gift list after using at my brother’s house recently. Because I do almost everything with my KitchenAid stand mixer, I didn’t think that I would need a hand mixer, but I’m wrong.

This mixer has two regular beaters, plus a third which you use by itself for meringues or whipped cream. There wasn’t any job I couldn’t use it for from mashed potatoes to cheesecake to pancake batter.

The mixer has several different settings which you see through an LED display. To add more power for more difficult mixing (like beating cream cheese), you simply press a button on the handle with your thumb.

I also found that there was not any splattering outside of the bowl with this Cuisinart mixer, even after I lifted it above the batter in order to clean off the beaters.

It was easy to eject the beaters for clean up. They can be easily placed in the dish washer or washed by hand.

If there is someone on your gift list who could use a replacement for an old mixer, this is a nice present to get for them. I hope I get one this year!
