This standing mixer was a Christmas gift to be two years ago. I haven’t used it for heavy duty baking and it is still in good condition. I liked the many settings though they don’t seem to be adequately named. If a recipe says to “cream” something and I set it to the “cream” setting, it is WAY to hard. I usually keep it on one of the first few settings (so all those attractive settings really don’t help)

The mixer is easy to use, color coded beaters and the bowls snap on well. The entire machine stays put while mixing and the bowl turns well. The beaters almost reach the bottom getting most of the ingredients to blend but I always have to use a spatula to scrap the sides to get it mixed in too.

The buttons on the back to lift the mixer head are very hard to push, as is the button to release the beaters. Lately, the button to release the beaters has become increasingly difficult to push and the head doesn’t “click” down anymore (still locked, just no reassuring click I guess).

This mixer is better than some and worse than more expensive brands, but for this price I think it is pretty decent.
