I have had this mixer for 7 years and I wish I had it 17 or 20 or 30. It is a great mixer, able to handle heavy dough and whip egg whites. IT is easy to clean, easy to set up and a joy to use all around. the only complaint I have ever had is the splash guard. It is a two piece afair that does only a fair job of keeping the ingredients from splashing out as you add them. I can live with it. I have never had a single problem with my mixer and I have made hundrds of loaves of bread, dozens of batches of cookies, and goodness knows how many sauces. I have bought many many attachments and ground up meat, made sausage and pasta, shreaded veggies and cheese and well you get the picture. No well equiped kitchen should do with out this mixer
