This is a handy, lightweight mixer that SHOULD be adequate for basic kitchen uses, but the sad truth is that it is not powerful enough to beat mashed potatoes smooth. Lumpy spuds anyone? So you may want to consider a more powerful mixer. I think it is telling that I cannot find the wattage for this mixer on the product or even in the epinions description…hmmmm.
