Kitchen Aid Ultra - KitchenAid 300 Watts KSM90 Ultra Power Series Stand Mixer I just received the Kitchen Aid Ultra for Christmas and I don't know how I lived without it for all these years. ...
For years I’ve wanted a new hand mixer. Not just any mixer, but a KitchenAid KHM7DH Ultra Power Hand Mixer. Every time I would look for one it would always be out of my price range. Usually in the $80.00 range. I would then head to the Dollar Store and pick up one for around $9.99, take it home use it several times and then it would burnout. I would wait until the next time I needed a mixer and purchase another cheapo.
By the time I finished buying all the $9.99 mixers, I could have purchased the KitchenAid KHM7DH Ultra Power Hand Mixer and been assured that I would have a quality appliance that would have lasted me for years, not just a couple of uses. It was now time to really put some effort into looking for one.
The lowest price I could find for a KitchenAid KHM7DH Ultra Power Hand Mixer was $69.00 and I was about ready to shell out the money for it when I found it online for $30.00. I was so happy that I let out a squeal and my husband thought something had gotten me.
While waiting for the KitchenAid KHM7DH Ultra Power Hand Mixer to be delivered I purchased all the things I needed to make several kinds of cookies. I wanted to make sure this little baby could do what it claimed it could do. It said it had the power to mix through double batches of cookie dough. Usually that’s what burned out my cheapo mixers.
The day finally arrived when my KitchenAid KHM7DH Ultra Power Hand Mixer was delivered. I dug the box out from under all the packing and proceeded to take all the pieces out. My brand new, shiny red KitchenAid KHM7DH Ultra Power Hand Mixer was here. The mixer comes with beaters and an instruction manual. The manual has a few recipes in it to get you started.
When I was shopping for the KitchenAid KHM7DH Ultra Power Hand Mixer I noticed that it came in a wide array of colors, white, black, blue, yellow, green, pink, red and cinnamon. Pink is one of my favorite colors, but I couldn’t bring myself to purchase that color.
When I went to use the mixer, I noticed to pads on the handle, one had an arrow pointing up and the other was an arrow pointing down. This adjusts the speed. You have seven speeds to choose from. KitchenAid recommends that you start on the lowest and work your way up so you don’t blow the ingredients out of the bowl. I also noticed a red square. When the mixer is plugged in it will read 0. As you up the speed, with the highest number being a 7, that will also display. The pads help keep food from going in and knocking the controls out. It’s easier to wipe clean than the old conventional models.
There is a larger button on the top, also. This button is for ejecting the beaters. Everything is within reach and easy to use by just moving your thumb.
On the front of the KitchenAid KHM7DH Ultra Power Hand Mixer there are air vents. They are high enough so that they won’t get clogged with flower or other ingredients you are using, and burn it out.
Once I inserted the beaters, I was ready to go. All my ingredients had been assembled and were waiting. I stared off on the lowest setting like the manual stated and there was no mess flying all over the place. I slowly moved it to the third setting like instructed. As I mixed I could hear the motor change, it was keeping up with the stiffness of the dough. Not once did this mixer bog down. I even made a second double batch of cookies and still no bogging down or overheating.
I have also beaten egg whites for pies and the KitchenAid KHM7DH Ultra Power Hand Mixer does this in short order. None of that standing there forever wondering if the job will ever get done. Whipping cream is a cinch. There isn’t anything this little baby can’t do. Every test I have put it through it has come out a champ. This is now an appliance that I use nearly everyday. One that I don’t want to be without, ever.
The mixer is lightweight, very well balance and fits nicely into your had so that you don’t have arm fatigue from mixing. The bottom allows the mixer to sit on your counter without falling over.
The KitchenAid KHM7DH Ultra Power Hand Mixer will exceed all your expectations. I am sold on this mixer and planning on purchasing another one for my daughter. Can you fall in love with a mixer?
