I bought my K45ss in 1966.If you think of all the purchases you have made in that time span and how many you still own,you may be surprised. I have never had one problem with my Kitchen Aid and never needed any servicing for it. How many products can make that claim. with all the available attachments your kitchen storage is not taken up with multiple appliances.I wouldnt get rid of it for anything and Im quite confident I will never need to purchase another one.
