I was given this product as a gift a couple of years ago. I was not even aware that Bosch made hand mixers, being more familiar with their large kitchen appliances. My last couple of hand mixers were the cheap discount store variety, and I burned out the last one making mashed potatoes. I never replaced it. I was ready to be unimpressed with the Bosch. Well, the quality lives up to its name.

The mixer has three speed settings, which are adjusted by a sliding switch at the top of the handle. There is also a ‘burst’ button, which is activated by moving this same sliding switch backwards.

The wire beaters are very sturdy, and are top-rack dishwasher safe. It also comes with dough hooks. They are made of heavy steel. I have no problem even mixing pizza dough with these hooks.

This is a very powerful mixer - whenever I want to whip cream or beat egg whites, I reach for this over my Kitchen Aid stand mixer. With this hand mixer, I never have to worry about unbeaten egg whites at the bottom of the bowl. You will probably want to use a pretty deep bowl, however, as it does spray things around due to its power. All in all, I am very pleased with the quality and qualities of this mixer. It is well worth the higher price.

My husband and I recently remodeled our kitchen. Our “before” kitchen was original to our 1940’s house, and in a word it was terrible. I was embarrassed of it and had absolutely no pride in the way it looked.

After replacing everything was sleek and modern cabinets and appliances, I realized that maybe my Avocado Green stand mixer from the 1970’s (handed down from my mom) wouldn’t look so great on my dark grey countertops. Not to mention that while it still ran okay, it tended to make a funny burning smell when ran on the higher settings.

Our 17-year old Sunbeam stand mixer died in a cloud of smoke just before Christmas, victim of my 13-year old son’s batch of gingerbread dough. I was quite cheerful about this because I like to bake with the kids, and the old Sunbeam didn’t have enough power for heavy mixing, plus I was concerned about little fingers near the twin beaters. I had been admiring Costco’s enormous heavy-duty 450 watt KitchenAid mixer for a couple of years, and now I could justify buying one.

This is actually my 2nd time with this mixer. The first one the drive failed. I bought from CostCo and they refunded in cash, a year later, after they no longer carried it.

But everyone I met on the mixer-owners group said this was one of the 2 best. DLX being the other.

Perhaps I didn’t learn enough the first time, or it was a lemon. The 1st one I bought with the SS bowl version with the “euro” dough hook and beaters. The beaters were beaten up making cc cookie dough. The hook was weak for bread.

THE MUM 6610 and 6622 only differ in the addition of the blender (6622). This review covers the base machine which is the same and the accessories I have.

I think Bosch should have stayed in power tools - their power tools are terrific. But, their Universal Mixer? Hmm. I’m being nice when I say this is a poor entry in to the small appliance category. I’ve experienced far more cons than pros.

I am finally the ecstatic owner of my own Kitchen Aide mixer! I had to wait to have this luxury, because I never could afford it, until now. It is an investment, but really worth it. I have probably beat into the ground 10 cheap hand mixers in my 20 years of marriage; which adds up to about 100 dollars. I decided that paying out the 150.00 for a Kitchen Aide mixer would save me money in the long run. Besides saving me money, this mixer has saved me a lot of time, work, and hassle.

The Dimension 2000 is belt Driven, and has an 800 Watt motor that offers more power than any other household Kitchen Machine. You wont have the same trouble with overheating as you do with other brands. The 6 Qt bowl can easily handle 10 -12 lbs of dough, and the blender will crush or "snow" ice better than any blender on the market.

Dimension 2000 Mixer..

Positive Mixes bread great.

I got this kitchenaid for a gift from my sister, and I thought it was okay. I owned a kitchenaid blender, and I thought it would be just as powerful, but it wasn’t. For the price I paid for blender and the mixer, I could get something more powerful and at much superior quality.
