My KitchenAid mixer was the best appliance I ever bought. I couldn’t survive without it. It’s very well made, sturdy, heavy, and since it comes in white, blends with my kitchen.

I love to make bread, and make usually 5 pounds at a time. I needed a mixer with a boat motor that could handle the stress without burning out (I had been through three before, all were not KitchenAids). This mixer can handle everything! I’ve made bread, cookies, even the mashed potatoes stay hot in the 5 qt stainless steel bowl! One big advantage to this is the ease. I’m able to put ingredients in, turn it on, and leave it alone. Anyone trying to do more than one thing at a time (which is most cooks) will love this.

I would recommend when purchasing this to also purchase a spare 5 qt bowl. A friend of mine is a chef and gave me that advice when I bought this machine, so I must pass it along. Due to my love of this machine, I use it for everything. I have two and it’s really nice to be able to have two things going at once - whether it’s two batches of cookies (if one has to chill) or two batches of bread dough.

I recently got married and my mother’s has lasted her 30 years of marriage. KitchenAid should be given an award for quality!
